Packaging Design Engineer

The individual will work at packaging design role in packaging design department.

• Perform substrate design and feasibility.
• Optimize die plot and substrate layout that could lower the substrate/assembly complexity and cost.
• Generate bonding diagram for assembly.
• Assembly tooling design.
• Schematic generation.
• Develop design automation system.
• Perform electrical quick simulation to meet initial design requirement and minimize design iteration.
• Work closely with various manufacturing and packaging group at various WDC locations for new product development and packaging design improvement.
• Interface seamlessly with assembly engineering and layout group at the assembly subcontractors.
• Work with assembly houses and substrate suppliers on design review(DFM) and design rule maintenance.
