- Management of electrical & mechanical equipment at department building.
- Registration, inventory and write-off of assets.
- Book-keeping of departmental funds. Accounting, procurement (including centralized purchase and green procurement) support and registration for department chair and academic staff.
- Supervision of cleaning and upkeep of departmental premises.
- Management of official correspondence.
- Arrangement of examination venues managed by the department.
- Arrangements of resources and financial management related to part-time Master's program.
- Matters related to petty cash, suppliers notification and payment.
- Supervision of registered mail collection.
- Occasional tasks assigned by the department chair or academic staff.
Functions:
- Admission and registration of students.
- Matters related to courses, including warnings for underperformed students.
- Administration of higher degree and Doctoral qualifying examinations.
- Checking course requirements for Master's students.
- Clerical matters related to departmental meetings, and academic (course), admissions and financial committees.
- Administration of new appointments, promotions, appraisal and professorial leave of academic staff.
- Survey of working hours and external appointments of teachers.
- Non-academic tutor assignment.
- Management of department chair election.
- Documentation of up-to-date department regulations.
- Report preparation to Ministry of Education's system on student quota management.
- Applications for Teacher Education Program.
- Foreign and mainland China exchange student business.
- Management of official mailbox of the Department.
- Assistance on Work Permit extension for foreign teachers.
- Support for welcome briefings, graduation ceremonies and course accreditation.
- Support for matters related to personal data protection.
- Occasional tasks assigned by the department chair.

Functions:
- Work health and safety matters, including induction courses for new students.
- Arrangements for visits to department and labor department inspection.
- Procurement and maintenance of machinery, tools and consumables at workshops.
- Technical support for Capstone project and workshop training courses.
- Business related to MOST research projects for undergraduates.
- Support for department Alumni Association.
- Maintenance of department website.
- Administrative work related to department chair elections.
- Network traffic management of computers in department.
- Management of Buddy Tutors.
- Support for university leaving procedure.
- Support for course accreditation.
- Contact person and management of summer internships.
- Procurement of Journals and books, and recommendations of books to library.
